Jane-Marie Austin
7am-9am
Well, let's see I grew up here in good ole
Crossett, and had the most wonderful parents. I was an
only child, and so I got all of their attention. I
played on a tournament softball team "The Heartbreakers"
for most of my childhood and have some of the fondest
memories for trips we made. I continued on in High
School participating in Multiple sports such as track
and Field, Softball, and Cheerleading. They took up most
of my high school life, but I wouldn't trade that for
anything. I graduated here at Crossett, and continued on
to college at U.A.M. where I received a bachelor's
degree in Speech Communications. It doesn't take much to
make me happy. I like to brighten people's days ... and
I am just glad God blessed me with another day!

If I'm working behind the
scenes, you'll know it's me because:
I like jam music, but mostly quiet,
laid back tunes. Anything with a little groove or
some jive. I enjoy the Dave Matthews Band, the
Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Incubus and Sufjan Stevens,
but there are very few current artists I'm really
into. Throw on some Lennon or Harrison & I'll
be happy. I've been a fan of the Beatles the whole
time I've been alive. I remember spinning the
records as a child & that B-sides are almost always
the best.

Dave Hunter 5am-7am and
9am-10am
"I was born in Pennsylvania, but my
family moved to Colorado when I was young, so Denver is
my adopted hometown. After grimacing through the Broncos
Super Bowl defeats, and still remaining a true fan, it
was especially satisfying to see them win back to back
Super Bowls during the John Elway era. I gave up
bicycling after getting hooked on terrifyingly fast
motorcycles and cars. I believe life goes in seasons,
and I thank God I survived (and ended) those particular
seasons. My wife and I stay pretty close to home
nowadays, except for the occasional scenic drive, or
hiking excursion."
Birthday: August

Fleetwood Mac, Boston Favorite female
singers: Loreena McKennitt, Sarah
Brightman Favorite male singers:
Michael McDonald, Keith Green Favorite

dishes Favorite hobby: Listening to
music Favorite celebrity encounter:
Brad Delp (Boston) Why I got into
radio: I was intrigued by the guy on the radio
while preparing for school in the morning. At that time,
he was having far more fun than I was. If I
weren't a jock: I would’ve experienced life in
various U.S. cities, meeting bizarre people…wait, I did
that in THIS business! |

Dave
Bogart 10am-3pm
Dave’s topical humor enhances his music
intensive mornings show. Games and contests in the early
hours give Dave an opportunity to interact with
listeners. The later hours of his show take listeners
through the first part of the workday. Dave’s
comfortable style is the result of 25 years of major
market experience.
"After my show each day I like to ride
8 to 30 miles on my bike. That's because I’m an average,
somewhat overweight guy who loves junk food and hates
exercise. Cycling is the only kind of exercise I enjoy.
When the weather’s bad I spend 30 minutes to an hour on
a stationary bike. I read as I pedal to keep from being
bored. I’d rather just read, but it burns fewer calories
without the pedaling. I also enjoy TV. I own 4 TiVos so
I can record just about everything that’s broadcast on
nearly every TV network around the clock, saving it all
on hard drives to watch at my convenience. I have two
athletic sons, so there’s always a game to attend, fewer
now that my older son graduated and no longer plays
sports. In two more years his brother will also
graduate, and I’ll have to edit my bio and tell you
about all the exciting volunteer work I’m doing in my
newly found spare time."
Birthday: August
26 Favorite Male Singers: I like the
old ones: Sinatra, Bennett, me in the
shower. Favorite Female Singers: So
many people say they don’t like her, but I love Celine
Dion. Favorite TV Shows: American
Dreams, Gilmore Girls, Desperate
Housewives Favorite Movies: The ones
on TV Favorite Actors: Only because
I’ve like every movie Tom Hanks has been in he comes to
mind. Favorite Books: Right now the
Left Behind series Favorite Foods:
The kind that are the worst for you Other
Hobbies: My new-found addiction is eBay. I can
spend hours looking at who’s selling what junk to whom.
Unfortunately that’s led to my buying a good amount of
somebody else’s junk. I got into radio
because: of a love of music and a fascination
with the buttons and knobs and lights and switches and
wires and the over-all atmosphere of radio
stations. |

little fun to the great music mix. Scott’s knowledge of
the show business and his international personal
experiences help him relate to a wide audience.
"I grew up in Portland, OR and got to
do a lot of traveling because of my father's government
job. It's possible he was some sort of secret agent or
spy. We lived in east Africa, Spain, and all the
biggies. I played radio and TV as a kid, and that led me
to get into the real thing. So it all worked out great!
I'm also lucky to have a fine wife, two daughters, and
three grandkids, though most people tell me I don't look
old enough to have grandkids, especially when they see
me on my Harley-Davidson Softail."

Rick
Brady 2am-5am
Rick is the Operations Manager of AC.
His show takes listeners through the early afternoon,
and includes the “At-Work Request Hour”, an hour of
great songs from the 70s and 80s. Rick began his radio
career in the mid-seventies and has been programming AC
formats for two decades.
"I was born in North Dakota, but before
I started kindergarten my family moved. I consider
Phoenix, AZ my hometown. As a kid, my serious side
aspired to be a lawyer, a music or math teacher, or an
architect. My fun side wanted to be a radio star like
the DJs I listened to on my favorite radio stations. In
my second semester of college the fun side won, and I
switched my major from music to broadcasting. It turns
out you don’t really need a college degree to be in this
business. I could have saved some serious tuition money
if I’d known it sooner. I’m married and have a teenage
daughter. In my spare time I enjoy bike riding (cycling
sounds too serious!), taking walks with my wife,
watching football, and discussing the condition of
mankind, our place in the universe, and whether we can
change the deteriorating condition of the
world." Birthday: December
12 Favorite Groups: Rolling Stones,
Beatles, Moody Blues Favorite Male
Singers: Roy Orbison, Ray Charles, Eric
Clapton Favorite Female Singers:

knew: I had a few favorite Neil Diamond
songs If I weren’t in radio: I might
have gone into politics |

Scott Barry
Scott brings 30 years of

voice and friendly demeanor keeps listeners involved,
playing requested songs for those who work late, study
late or just can’t sleep. He keeps his audience
up-to-date with lifestyle information and daily
contests.
"If you were to visit our studio, you
would definitely notice pock marks and scratches on the
floor, most the result of my stomping around to the
music during my show! Not only do I get into the rhythm
of things, but I find it's the perfect way to stay awake
all night!"

Ron
Thurston The Weekend
Seventies
Ron’s radio career began in 1978 in
Anaheim, CA. He’s worked at stations in Wyoming, Idaho
and Colorado creating an all-seventies weekend show in
Boise and working at an all-seventies station in Denver.
Ron brings his passion for seventies music and his
somewhat warped sense of humor to “The Weekend
Seventies” every Saturday night.
I'm divorced and live alone. (My cat
ran away, too) I eat meals right out of the pan while
standing over the sink. I'm a good housekeeper, but not
obsessively neat. I have joint custody of my daughter,
Natalie. She's spoiled rotten. My number one hobby is
radio. It's my love, recreation and creative outlet. I
can't believe I actually get paid to do it! I spend much
of my free time researching music and brainstorming
ideas for the "Weekend 70's Show," heard on Saturday
night. Birthday: March
18 Favorite Musical performers:
Beatles Favorite Movie: "One Flew
Over The Cuckoo's Nest" Favorite TV
show: I don't watch much TV. I love the weather
channel, though Favorite Actor:
Robin Williams Favorite Actress:
Julia Roberts Favorite Foods:
Anything with chicken in it Other
Hobbies: Other than radio, I love to pencil
sketch. I got into radio because: It
beats having to work for a living. If I
weren’t in radio: I would work at Wal-Mart,
which I actually do! People would be shocked
if they knew: I don't own a computer, cell
phone, or a host of other devices most people can't live
without. |
