02-04 (Sat) - There will be a NBHA-district 04 barrel run FEB 4th 2012 @ 2 pm @ the Hamburg Arena admission is Free it only cost to RIDE. for more information call 870-853-9020 or 870-853-6904.

 

02-05 (Sun) - Deadline for ordering tickets to the Utah Jazz vs. Memphis Grizzlies in Memphis, TN.  On Sunday, Feb 12, Crossett's own Jeremy Evans and the Utah Jazz will play the Memphis Grizzlies in Memphis, TN. The game will start at 8:30 p.m.  If you are interested in going, there are several types of seats available in all price ranges.   all tickets are non-refundable and tickets will not be ordered until they are paid for.  Deadline for purchasing tickets is Sunday, Feb 5 at 4 p.m. For more information, call Gwyn Evans at 870-415-9704.

 

02-07 (Tues)  - The Ashley County Retired Teachers Association will meet  at 11:00 A.M. at Country Vittles, 301 Main St. Our speaker will be Arkansas State Representative, Eddie Cheatham, and 2 other representatives.

Members are reminded to bring some non-perishable food items for the Crossett and Hamburg Food Banks.

The Retired Teachers Association is not just for teachers. All retired public school employees are eligible, and encouraged, to belong. The purpose of the group is to monitor, and to positively influence, the work of the Arkansas State Legislature in regard to the welfare of retired public school employees.

 

02-07 (Tues) - Babe Ruth Baseball Sign-ups at the Crossett Sports Complex from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Registration Fee: $60; $50 for t-ball ($10 discount for each additional child up to 3). Must be 5 years old by April 30, 2012.

 

02-11 (Sat) The Ashley County Cooperative Extension Service has available a new, free set of classes for early childhood professionals and others interested in learning more about young children.

These classes are part of a program called The Best Care and will be held at the United Methodist Church in Crossett February 11 from 8:00 am-1:15 pm. Five hours of lessons will be provided on topics such as Building Your Resume; Grow It! Like It! Try It! Part II; Giving Medicine to Children Wisely Part II; Do, Re, Mi…The Importance of Music; Managing Stress: Turning Challenges into Blessings.

02-23 (Thurs) - Pesticide Applicator Training for Certification or Re-Certification.
