Employee Of The Year
Rebecca Shiver has been selected as Employee of the Year for 2011 at First National Bank of Crossett. Rebecca is one of the four employees that were selected as employee of the quarter for 2011. Other employees of the quarter that were eligible for the award were Kim Edwards, Marcia Arnold and Connie Kelley. Rebecca began her career with First National Bank of Crossett in August 2004 at the Hamburg location. She transferred to the main bank in October of 2006 in customer service and was promoted to Mortgage Loan Assistant in December of 2006. In 2010 she was named Administrative Services and Trust Operations Manager.
Rebecca Shiver
Mrs. Shiver, a Warren native, is a 1992 graduate of Warren High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello where she graduated with a B.S. Degree in Business in 1998. She completed the “Basics of Banking” school in 2006 and the Arkansas Bankers Association Trust School in 2011. She is a 2010 Graduate of the Southeast Arkansas Cornerstone Leadership Institute. She is active in the Kiwanis club of Crossett and as a volunteer for the Crossett Food Pantry and the Relay for Life event. “Rebecca exceeds the expectations of our customers and has a very strong work ethic, and an eagerness to succeed that makes her an outstanding employee. She is a pleasure to work with and a tremendous asset to our department,” said Gene Crawford, President and CFO. “This award is given annually and voted on by our employees… to be recognized by your peers is perhaps the greatest accomplishment of all. We are proud to honor Rebecca as our employee of the year.”
Mrs. Shiver receives a $750 cash award, a plaque, and an 8X10 portrait to be displayed in the bank lobby along with past employee of the year recipients. Mrs. Shiver received special recognition at the annual awards banquet this past December. She and her husband Brad have a daughter, Carly age 8 years, and reside in Hamburg. Rebecca is the daughter of J.W. and Bessie Barber of Warren.
